Policies and Procedures Manual--Fuel and Oil Purchases at Off-Site Locations

Cumulogranite Flying Club aircraft rental rates are "wet" rates--that is, they include fuel and oil expenses. If a club member must purchase fuel or oil when away from Merrill Field, such expenses will be deducted from the aircraft rental charge at the rate of $1.85 per gallon for aviation fuel and $3.75 per quart for aviation oil When purchasing fuel or oil off-site, please verify that the fuel is the appropriate grade of aviation gasoline recommended by the aircraft manufacturer (typically 100 or 100LL) and that the oil is the appropriate weight aviation grade motor oil for the environmental conditions (typically 85 weight in the summer and 65 weight in the winter). Break-in oil (mineral oil) is NOT to be used in club aircraft unless specified in the aircraft "squawk" sheets.
